Events under preparation for 2005

(1) Inaugural Meeting of the Anglo-Japanese Tanka Society (York, March 2005)

(2) British Art Exhibition in Japan (Takayama City, July-August 2005)

An exhibition of British art works inspired by classical tanka which were written in Japan between the 9^th century and 1205. The works will be produced by Art and Design students at York St John College and the exhibition will be hosted in conjunction with the Anglo-Japanese Tanka Society and Hida Takayama Museum of Art.

(3) National Competition of Tanka written in English (the duration to be decided)
